2017-2018. With the support of the Region of Crete (General Directorate of Development Planning, Environment and Infrastructure, Protocol no. 242650/5.12.2016), the personnel of the Laboratory undertake the research project “Study and Research of Cretan Manuscripts”.

2017. Acquisition of digital reproductions of manuscripts of the Cretan Renaissance (16th – 17th century). With the support of the University of Crete, through orders from European libraries and museums, the Laboratory gathers the largest collection internationally of digitized manuscripts that transmit the literary works of the Cretan School.

2017. Incorporation of the collection of digitized manuscripts of the Laboratory into the Medium database of the Institut de Rercherche et d’Histoire des Textes, I.R.H.T./C.N.R.S.
All the acquisitions of the Laboratory appear in this international search engine for reproductions of Greek manuscripts.


2015. Cooperation in and co-organization of the international scientific conference ”Greek Libraries in the Ottoman Empire, 17th – 20th century, prospects for research” (Ελληνικές Βιβλιοθήκες στην Οθωμανική αυτοκρατορία. 17ος-20ος αι: ερευνητικές προοπτικές), Rethymno, UoC, 26.-27. May 2015.
