Hellenistic, Late Republican, Augustan and Early Imperial literature, especially poetry; poetry of Late Antiquity; Senecan drama; Ancient novel; reception of the Classics in Modern Greek, Italian, French and English literature; Modern Greek literature.

Special Interests in Modern Greek Literature
Cretan Renaissance Literature; Modern Greek and Italian literature; Kalvos, Solomos, Korais; Cavafy, Kazantzakis, Seferis; the Modern Greek novel.

My book on Andreas Kalvos received the 2014 Athens Academy essay award and the 2014 essay award of the book journal O Anagnostis.
