Short CV: Litao Lin is a Ph.D. student in Library and Information Science at Nanjing University and visiting scholar at TALOS (winter semester), funded by a prestigious scholarship from his home institution. His doctoral research focuses on digital humanities, specifically the application of deep learning techniques for knowledge extraction from ancient Chinese texts. By integrating theories and methodologies from library and information science, he employs advanced technologies—including ontologies, the semantic web, and natural language processing—to systematically organize and standardize knowledge within these texts. The aim of his work is to enhance the large-scale, open linking and interoperability of Chinese historical texts, thus contributing to the preservation and dissemination of ancient cultural heritage.
